about me
[ev-uh n]: rock in Hebrew

I am an Aries baby, born on 17 April 2013 at Thomson Medical Centre in the good hands of Dr Yvonne Chan. I love to lie on my tummy and do head lifts to amuse Mummy and Daddy.

about my parents

My daddy is a typical Gemini who can laugh heartily at one moment and become the incredible Hulk at the other.

My mummy is a kiasu Aries who wants me to learn one foreign language, one musical instrument and one martial arts ALL before I turn 21.

*really can't decide who's scarier*

Fat again?!
Written at Saturday, March 23, 2013 | back to top

Two weeks past by very quickly and soon it was time to go to Dr Chan's again.

First, Dr Chan did a GBS (Group B Streptococcus) swab for Mummy. I understand from Mummy that about 20% to 40% women are born with the virus, and though it does not harm the carriers, it may get passed on to babies during delivery and cause serious illness, sometimes even death. So if Mummy is found to be a carrier, she is supposed to be given antibiotics so that the virus does not get passed on to me.

Once that was done, Dr Chan continued with the routine ultrasound scan on me. As expected (or apparent from the title of this entry), I have gone through a second growth spurt and am now weighing a decent weight of about 2.6kg! Now, you might think that putting on 500g in two weeks is a lot but this time round, Dr Chan said that my size is a good size! For once, we agree! =)

She added that my head is going low so with some luck, I'll be out by 38 weeks (that's just another two to three more weeks!!!). Having heard so much from Mummy & Daddy, I really can't wait to see what it's like outside Mummy's tummy!

Then, just when I thought Dr Chan would spare me this time, she poked fun at me again! She did a scan of my face and told Mummy & Daddy that I've got a triangle face now because of my chubby cheeks. And Daddy had to join in by commenting that it'll be easier for me to come out with a triangle face. (-_-") These adults can be so juvenile at times!
