about me

I am an Aries baby, born on 17 April 2013 at Thomson Medical Centre in the good hands of Dr Yvonne Chan. I love to lie on my tummy and do head lifts to amuse Mummy and Daddy.
about my parents
My daddy is a typical Gemini who can laugh heartily at one moment and become the incredible Hulk at the other.
My mummy is a kiasu Aries who wants me to learn one foreign language, one musical instrument and one martial arts ALL before I turn 21.
Today was a busy busy day!
First, Mummy and Daddy brought me to Dr Chan's, where the routine ultrasound scan was conducted. I was really quite excited, as you'd be able to tell from the rate my heart was beating!
After checking that my heart was beating ok, Dr Chan did a few measurements on my head, arm and foot to make sure that I'm growing well. Daddy took a video of the entire process and here are some of the screenshots!
Here's a picture of my little round head...
And here's a close-up, where you can see my pouty lips and very nice nosebridge!
You've got to use your imagination on this one...if you look really carefully, you can see my face!
And over here, you can see my cute little foot on the left, and very long arm, complete with elbow and fist on the right.
After analysing all the measurements, Dr Chan declared that I am now an above-average baby! I thought that sounded very good, after all, it means I am growing well, right? However, Dr Chan said that it is actually better if I remain an average baby because growing too big may pose some problems, especially during my delivery.
As a precaution, Dr Chan advised for Mummy to go through a blood test on her next visit to make sure that she doesn't have gestational diabetes. I'm not sure what that really means, but apparently, being a big baby may sometimes be a sign for gestational diabetes. Alright, whatever that is, I know I'm not supposed to get too much bigger now. I'll try really hard, Mummy. Just don't tempt me with all those goodies you are currently eating ok?
After the scan, Mummy and Daddy went to the coffee shop opposite TMC to have breakfast, where they also met up with an insurance agent who presented a policy specially designed for me. It was a looooong and boring talk and I couldn't help dozing off after about 3 minutes into it.
The next thing I knew, we had reached Marina Bay Sands. There was this seminar which Mummy and Daddy had signed up for, and once again, it was talk after talk for close to 4 hours!!! Thankfully, there was a little break in between, and I got a little taste of the sandwiches and white chocolate eclairs that were served. Yummy!!!
The organizers also gave out goodie bags to all participants. More presents for me!
By the time the seminar ended, it was close to 5pm. You'd think Mummy and Daddy would call it a day, won't you? Fat chance! It was Great Grandma's birthday today as well!
So it was another round of feast that ended with a very delicious orange zest chocolate cake. Now tell me, how is a baby to resist all these! You can't really blame me for growing big right? =P
